On 28 March 2018, GDI and IDSD organized the presentation of the report on implementation of the Human Rights Action Plan of the Government of Georgia for 2016-2017.
During the presentation, the project lawyers and experts presented to the participants the preliminary findings for monitoring the implementation of the Chapter I (criminal law), Chapter III (prosecutor’s office), Chapter IV (human rights in the penitentiary system) and V (fights against torture and ill-treatment) of the Human Rights Action Plan. At the same time, the presentation of the web-page-www.hrm.org.ge, created within the framework of the monitoring, took place. The participants also received the information on the special methodology used for the elaboration of the report.
Representatives of the Human Rights Secretariat, responsible agencies as well as of other national or international organizations attended the presentation.
The report was prepared with the generous contribution of the American people by the US Agency for International Development (USAID). The report was prepared within the framework of the joint grant project of the East-West Management Institute (EWMI) program “Promoting Rule of Law in Georgia” (PROLoG) and “Open Society Georgia Foundation (OSGF).
